HOWTO Add Microsoft Exchange email to Blackberry device.

Posted by Support @ Whaddya.com On 12:09 AM 0 comments
Here's a simple steps to add your exchange email address to your blackberry device. You need the following information.
  • Email Address e.g. yourname@king.net
  • Your email password
  • Outlook Web Access URL e.g. https://mail.king.net/owa or https://mail.king.net
  • Username
  • Mailbox Name
  • and of course you have data service added to your voice from your Phone Service Provider.
If all set, let's begin:
  • Press the Blackberry icon in you phone device. This is normally located beside the green phone icon.
  • Scroll down until you see the Email Settings (Globe with mail envelop icon). Click it to add a new email mailbox.
  • Move your pointer to Add An Email Account and execute.
  • In "Add my existing email account to my device", enter your full email address e.g. yourname@king.net and email password. I recommend to click the Show Password to make sure that you enter the right information for your email password. If you fail three times, your account will be automatically locked out. You need to call your email administrator to unlock this for you.
  • Click Next to go to the next page. For Exchange Email accessing through Outlook Web Access (OWA), it will fail. You need to continue for additional settings.
  • Enter your OWA URL address, for example https://mail.king.net/owa. You can get this information from your Email Administrator
  • Enter your login user ID
  • Enter your mailbox, normally your full name e.g. John Smith
The Blackberry Internet Service will validate your credentials, once successful you're done. Now try to send email.

Post your feedback or comments here.
Thank you.

How to fix: NTLDR is missing, press any key to restart

Posted by Support @ Whaddya.com On 9:44 PM 0 comments
You're working with your workstation (or laptop) and suddenly rebooted of it's own. After the reboot, you see the NTLDR is missing, press any key to restart, or the other famous Windows OS error \system32\hal.dll is missing or corrupt. Don't worry it's not the end of the world. I have a solution to share. I've done this to some workstations and laptop.

Create a CD bootable disk. You can also create a bootable disk using floopy or USB but I will not discuss it here. I prefer to use CD boot disk which is common to laptop or workstation.
  • Download this file from Tinyempire.com website. Again this is only for CD boot disk.
  • Extract the file to your temp folder. Here you will see a file with the iso extension.
  • Now let's Copy to Image or Burn ISO file to create the bootable disk. After this task, you now have a CD boot disk.

Google Apps and the cloud: Maximum economies of scale

Posted by Support @ Whaddya.com On 7:08 AM 0 comments
Editor's note: This post is the last in a three-part series on the benefits of Google Apps’ cloud-computing architecture. - Ed.

The first post in this series focused on faster access to innovation and last week’s entry described how Google Apps can drive higher reliability and security. This final installment explains advantages achieved from the scale at which the Google Apps infrastructure operates.

Maximum Economies of Scale
An Internet-scale cloud infrastructure achieves economies of scale that can produce tremendous cost savings. Rather than buying off-the-shelf completed servers, Google buys raw computer parts in massive quantities, and assembles custom servers with few unnecessary components. Not only do we save costs on hardware, we also minimize overhead by consolidating on a very small number of server configurations that can be managed in bulk globally at an extremely efficient ratio of staff to machines. On a per-user basis, these economies of scale allow Google Apps to operate at higher levels of efficiency than can be achieved by customers themselves.

Sony Vaio crash blue screen of death

Posted by Support @ Whaddya.com On 9:34 PM 0 comments
I know you hate to see the blue screen of death (or "blue screen of doom") but all of sudden it's happening to your laptop. This is a typical issue when you installed new software or hardware, and not successful due to conflict. Another possibility is that you updated your laptop (or workstation) using the Windows Update to apply security patches. Well you need to run this Windows Update regularly to patch any vulnerabilities in your Windows operating system.

Going back to the subject. When you switch on the wireless for your Sony Vaio it prompt you the "blue screen of death" right away, and keep on doing it. The temporary approach is to switch off the wireless again. Of course, you need to solve this issue for you to use your wireless connectivity.

WordPress Blogs Suffer from a Mass Compromise

Posted by Support @ Whaddya.com On 7:27 AM 0 comments
Let's start our week with news about security vulnerabilities of WordPress blogs. This is one of the most used blog scripts out there, including the Webew.com multi-sites free blog hosting. If you are using WordPress blog script, you need to read this article to make sure that you're free from malware.

"Mass compromises have not been in the news of late but a new wave recently hit the headlines. According to news reports, users running the popular blogging platform WordPress have been hit with an attack that modifies a setting within the application that contains the URL of a blog.

This is what you get when you tried to install or uninstall Microsoft Office Professional 2003 "The installation source for this product is not available office 2003".

The quick way to resolve this issue is to use the Microsoft Install CleanUp Utility (or Microsoft software update). You can download it here.

Install the software, accept the default setup. Agree to the terms and condition.

Step 2: Use the Windows Installer CleanUp utility to remove Windows Installer registry information for Microsoft Office

1. Click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Windows Install Clean Up.
2. In the Installed Products list, select every copy of Office and every copy of an Office program. To select multiple entries, press and hold the CTRL key, and then click each entry that you want to remove.
3. Click Remove.
4. Click OK.
5. Click Exit.

Warning: Select only the Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 or related version. Do not remove other softwares.

After this action, you may now re-install Microsoft Office Professional 2003.

Please don't hesitate to post your comments or suggestions.

I received some emails regarding the Rapid Mass Traffic by Mo Latif where he will teach you on how to bring more traffic to your website. Well, web traffic convert revenue for you. My first impression, this is another pay per view (PPV) type of internet marketing where you advertise your products or services at low fee. I am not that familiar using the pay per view internet marketing so I guess I will buy this howto guide and share my review to you.

I hope to bring few hundred thousand a month in my bank account. :)

Yes I will spend my hard earned hundred dollars to try this out. We will see the results in the next couple of months. Wish me luck.
