2009 Google Lottery - it's a scam

I received this email today about Google Lottery. I know this email scam for years and I wonder why it was able to pass through my Gmail anti-spam security. Here's the exact email message:

Congratulations to you!! You have just been picked as one of our luckywinners of £850,000 British Pounds in our online promotions. For more info/ how to claim your winnings,contact the processing officer (Mr. Grahams Benfield) with the email addresses below by sending your winning numbers,full names, sex and location.

  1. You are damn right. I received a such message and I even pestered further to send the contact details. Here is an excerpt of the message sent.

    "Dear Mr. -------------,
    Accept our sincere apology,for the slight delay in responding to your mail,it was an outcome of the processing of your winning documents.
    I/We are pleased to formally announce to you that you have successfully pass the requirements, statutory obligations, verifications, validations and satisfactory report Test conducted for all our online lucky winners.

    Be aware that this promotion was set-up to encourage the active users of the Google search engine and other Google ancillary services .Hence we do believe with your winning prize ,you will continue to be active and patronage to the Google.

    You have been finally cleared as the beneficiary of £850,000 GBP(Eight hundred and fifty British pounds).
    I am by this note pleased to inform you also that your winning cheque of £850,000 GBP has been issued and deposited with our accredited paying Bank for your payment. Frequent Account Lockout in Active Directory

I have a user in Windows Pro 7, and Windows Server 2003 environment that is frequently account locked out. I tried many different scenarios to resolve this account lockout issue, from resetting his password, changing a new password, remove and re-join the domain, rebooting the workstation and active directory servers.

I tried to use the command prompt utility to run "rundll32.exe keymgrdll, KRShowKeyMgr" (case sensitive) to delete the account in Windows 7 password cache, and still no luck.

Still searching for answer ... Let me know if you encounter a similar issue in Windows Pro 7 and Windows Server 2003.
