Whaddya know how to Mapped IP network using Juniper/Netscreen Firewall?

When you manage a firewall in one office, you set it up, test and deploy. You will only change the firewall policy when you need to add ports allowing to enter know "network or traffic" to your private network, or update firewall policy for your new server application, etc. This is once in a blue moon configuration. This is a different situation if you are managing a big network, changing firewall policies is a daily or week task. For this article, I will provide a step by step procedure to complete this task. To setup a Mapped IP or some tech guys prefer to use NAT for network address translation. Save your Firewall configuration: Before you begin making changes to your existing Firewall policy, download a fresh backup of your configuration firewall policies. In a small network, you manage your Netscreen/Juniper Firewall using Internet Explorer, go to the Firewall box IP Address, for this example let us connect to 192.168.1.2. Login to your Firewall using your admin account

Email from suspected phishing site regarding your domain name from Enom

I've got this email today, very alarming, and if you don't pay attention to it. You might lose your precious domain name for your business or personal use. ==========  Dear user,  On Tue, 28 Oct 2008 23:18:56 -0800 we received a third party complaint of invalid domain contact information in the Whois database for this domain. Whenever we receive a complaint, we are required by ICANN regulations to initiate an investigation as to whether the contact data displaying in the Whois database is valid data or not. If we find that there is invalid or missing data, we contact both the registrant and the account holder and inform them to update the information.  The contact information for the domain which displayed in the Whois database was indeed invalid. On Tue, 28 Oct 2008 23:18:56 -0800 we sent a notice to you at the admin/tech contact email address and the account email address informing you of invalid data in breach of the domain registration agreement and advising you to update t

Paying with cash?

I am one of today's consumers that spend cash to control the budget within my means. Our family agreed to this approach to control our budget, making sure every spending is within our monthly budget. This approach help us achieve our goal, whichever comes first, build our emergency funds, more savings, retirements and help fund our kids education (College). If we execute one of these goals, we are ok but not good enough. If we can accomplish at least 2 goals, then we are better. I read this article from CNN Money and I would like to share with you. “The latest fall style for credit-addicted Americans: paying with cash.”, continue reading this article in CNN Money . I hope I was able to share some useful information today.

Vonage Final Account Status

To: CEO of Vonage. I'm a former Vonage customer (703-349-7118) and would like to raise my disappointment using the Vonage service. I called in to cancel my account as I am not a happy customer because of continuous issue in my Vonage phone. This message came from my activation notice (via e-mail): A detailed online invoice is available through your Vonage Online Account. You will still have access to your call and billing history through your Online Account for up to 90 days after this cancellation. Minutes, I've checked my account and no access already! That' fun. I was talking to Mr. Ryan. I'm trying to raise my concern and cancel my service. He told me that I have to pay for the total of $92.48 for the termination fees and device. I said that I will return the device, I don't need it. He told me that if I read the Terms of Service, the termination fees apply. Wow, very convincing voice. My issue is, I open my account last August 2008. The service did not work, I

Whaddya know how to activate a Terminal Server Licensing?

For some reason, I can't just follow this instruction to activate a Terminal Services Licens e so here's a detailed step-by-step procedure based on my own testing. Click on Start, Administrative Tools, then Terminal Server Licensing. You will get a alert, just like this one: "No Terminal Server License is available in the current domain or workgroup. To connect to another license server, click Action, click Connect, and then type the server name." So click on Action, Connect. In Connect to License Server, you can use the IP Address or Netbios name of your server. If you're not familiar with your server computer name, check with your system adminitrator or system engineer. I'm assuming you are the system administrator of this server that's why you are reading this step-by-step procedure. Well, to minimize error use the IP Address in the server field. Server: 192.168.1.100 ; where this IP address is your Terminal Services Licensing Server Click on OK to con

MagicJack saved dollar into my pocket

This is a follow of my previous post regarding Cost Effective VOIP for Home or Business Use . Well, my first week of testing produced an excellent result. Let's review what I have for this VOIP test. 1. I have broadband cable, normal bandwidth varies from 1Mbps to 4Mbps. To be specific I'm using COX.NET Broadband Cable. I think this will work using COMCAST or VERIZON FIOS or other local internet broadband service. 2. I have Windows VISTA Operating System and keep in mind I've tested this VOIP using XP environment. 3. I have a Gateway Laptop Centrino Duo which I normally used to browse the Internet and conduct business. 4. The MagicJack USB is directly connected to one of my laptop's USD drive. If you have a similar broadband access, this should work for you. Now what saving I've got from using this service? Before using MagicJack, I'm using VONAGE service of unlimited calls for $24.95 or $30.75 after taxes. This is $369 per year. If you are using your local phon

I just completed my test of MagicJack VOIP phone service. Before I start sharing my install and troubleshooting experience using this service, here's a few information before you begin reading this article. If you plan to save your phone bill, this is a great solution for you. If you don't plan to save (who do not?), don't bother to read this article. If you like Skype saving $ to your phone bills, you will love this product as well. If you are currently using Vonage for your residential, you will definitely like the cost saving of MagicJack. Well I guess I covered the basic information. I bought 2 MagicJack for work. I was able to register the first MagicJack without any glitch, it's a plug and play setup to my laptop. I was able to initiate and receive calls after 10-20 minutes of setup. I said wow! that's a great product. The 2nd MagicJack is not as smooth as the first install, there are some glitch and I will explain in details. I first installed the 2nd MagicJ

Tomoye Simplified having issue using the web editor in Vista environment

For starter, the DHTML Editing Contro l has been removed in Windows Vista. "The DHTML Editing Control is an ActiveX control designed for WYSIWYG HTML editing in Web pages and Windows applications. It was originally released to the ActiveX Control Gallery in early 1998 by the Microsoft Visual InterDev development team. It quickly became apparent that the tight coupling between Internet Explorer and the control made it desirable to ship the control as part of each Internet Explorer update, and the control has been shipped as part of Internet Explorer since the release of Internet Explorer 5 in early 1999. Several factors combined to make continued support of the control less desirable over time. Internet Explorer has continued to evolve, incorporating WYSIWYG editing features of its own in Internet Explorer 5.5 and Internet Explorer 6. At the same time, security has become a major focus for Internet Explorer. To increase security, the browser restricts access to potentia

Whaddya be living Paycheck to paycheck?

I wake up today and read the CNN news, as I normally do every morning. I would like to share this article today " Living Paycheck to Paycheck ". If you're not in this situation then good for you and your family, you should share your blessing. But majority of families today are struggling and posting this article here will provide them guidance.  "If you find yourself counting the hours until your next paycheck is deposited in your bank, you're not alone. Almost half of workers live paycheck to paycheck just to make ends meet, a new CareerBuilder.com survey finds. While we are all advised to earmark some of each paycheck for savings, a quarter of workers say they don't put any money into savings and, of the ones who do, 34 percent set aside less than $100 per month." (CNN.com, 2008) Please share this to your family and friends. I wish I know enough to share financial information so I can provide details related to this article, but as I always recommend

Whaddya know Lasik is not the only solution? Your alternative for Lasik are Wave Front-Guided, Phakic Intraocular and Refractive Lens Exchange.

Whaddya know that Lasik is not the only solution to have your 20/20 vision? Lasik $1,000-$2,000 per eye. Best for those healthy corneas who are mildly to moderate near or farsighted. The surgeon cuts a small flap of tissue on the eye's surface. A computer guided laser then reshapes the cornea underneath and the flap is repositioned. PROS: You'll see clearly within 24 hourswith minimal discomfort. CONS: Doubles matches are out for a month or so - getting hit in the eye soon after Lasik could displace the flap of tissue. Wave Front-Guided PRK $1,500-$2,700 per eye. Best for people with thinner corneas or dry eyes, and athletes who don't want to take the month off after Lasik. This technique requires no such cut: Instead, a laser is used to create a 3-D map of your eye, and then a second laser reshapes the top layer of the cornea. PROS: Becuase there is no cutting involved, there's also no risk that you'll need to stock up on artificial tears. CONS: Your vision wi

Aston Martin One-77

Aston Martin said it would have a "property" here in Paris, and indeed it did. The Aston Martin One-77 made its "debut," but it looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer to see the British automaker's $1,000,000+ super coupe. Judging by the limited upskirt shots in our gallery, the length of the One-77 easily surpasses the DB9 and the stylized front end, with blacked-out headlamps, ensures that the One-77 will spend more time in the comfy confines of heated and carpeted garages then out on the track where it's 7.3-liter V12, carbon fiber monocoque and massive brakes will be put to good use.
