Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. MAPI32.DLL is corrupt or the wrong version. This could have been caused by installing other messaging software.

Whaddya know what to do when you receive this error "Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. MAPI32.DLL is corrupt or the wrong version. This could have been caused by installing other messaging software. Please install Outlook." after uninstalling Office 2007 and install Office 2003?

Just a review, the correct Mapi32.dll file should be in c:\windows\system32\Mapi32.dll directory.

If you search your computer and you see another Mapi32.dll file, simply rename it and reinstall your MS Office 2003 and it should correct this issue.

Alternative solution:
Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033 directory, rename the Mapi32.dll to Mapi32.old.dll file.Open command promptGo to C:\windows\system32 directory.Run fixmapi.exeWhen you open Outlook for the first time, it will try to reinstall the missing file(s) and correct any issues from previous install. This should fix your Outlook issue. Please share your thought.

Whaddya need html tool? Notepad++ free source code editor

I have another free code editor tool to share with you folks. It only takes 5 minutes to download and install the program. If notepad is too basic for you, get Notepad++ ...

===
Notepad++ is a free (as in "free speech" and also as in "free beer") source code editor and Notepad replacement that supports several languages. It runs in the MS Windows environment.

Based on a very powerful editing component Scintilla, Notepad++ is written in C++ and uses pure Win32 API and STL which ensures a higher execution speed and smaller program size. Its use is governed by GPL Licence.

This project is mature. However, it's a one-man project and there are still some bugs and missing features that are being worked on. If you have any questions or suggestions about this project, please post them in the forums. Also, if you wish to make a feature request, you can post it there as well. But there's no guarantee that I'll implement your request.

BREAKING: 2011 Chevy Volt revealed!

Though its first official public debut isn't scheduled until early next week, the 2011 Chevy Volt has been introduced to the internet early courtesy of the The Car Connection, which published these apparently official pictures of the revolutionary series hybrid today. In the past few weeks we've seen official teasers shots of the car mixed with spy video taken on the set of Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, all of which have only served to increase excitement ahead of the car's official debut next week. These pics give up the goods like no others, however, and show various GM execs and engineers directly responsible for its development posing alongside like proud papas. The list includes, in order, Tony Posawatz, Bob Lutz, Bob Boniface, Frank Weber, and Andrew Farah.

Google Fixes Chrome's End User Terms Of Service

The old Terms of Service agreement was seen by many in the Internet community as Google being evil by asserting ownership over its users' work.

The old TOS stated "By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display, and distribute any Content which you submit, post, or display on or through, the Services."

To make the story short, many Internet users complaint about the Google Chrome TOS as being evil by asserting ownership over its user's work. Google immediately updated the Terms of Service as remedy.

Google Chrome vulnerable to carpet-bombing flaw

After just a few hours of launching Google Chrome beta internet browser, here's a quick discovery of it's vulnerability through webkit and java bug.

---
Google’s shiny new Web browser is vulnerable to a carpet-bombing vulnerability that could expose Windows users to malicious hacker attacks.
Just hours after the release of Google Chrome, researcher Aviv Raff discovered that he could combine two vulnerabilities — a flaw in Apple Safari (WebKit) and a Java bug discussed at this year’s Black Hat conference — to trick users into launching executables direct from the new browser.

Google Chrome

Google just released the BETA version of Chrome, it's own internet browser. So aside Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla (firefox), Netscape, AOL browser and other internet browser, let's add Google Chrome to the list. To tell you frankly, I'm only using Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, but will definitely check out Chrome for sure.

Here are some noted features:

One box for everything. Type in the address bar and get suggestions for both search and web pages.
Thumbnails of your top sites. Access your favorite pages instantly with lightning speed from any new tab.
Shortcut for your apps. Get desktop shortcuts to launch your favorite web applications.
Safe browsing. Google Chrome warns you if you're about to visit a suspected phishing, malware, or otherwise unsafe website.
Crash control. This is a cool feature, every tab you're using is run independently in the browser. So if one application crashes it won't take anything else down.

Whaddya know? Configuring Exchange Server using IMAP SSL

The iPhone has arrived and the corporate world is now starting to configure their existing messaging infrastructure allowing employees to sync up their iPhone’s.I want to stress that IMAP4 should not be enabled without using SSL! Sending information in clear text is not recommended. I will be referencing the IMAP4 port 993 later in this article. I will step through the different actions taken for a non-clustered Exchange 2003 system. Enabling IMAP:

I don't know what I'm doing wrong not able to work my iPhone to our Exchange Server 2003. I've used the server for Pocket PDA and it working ok. I was able to successfully authenticate when I configured my iPhone for Exchange Server 2003 but no message and can't send e-mail. Though I test the same approach for Exchange Server 2007, it work just fine.

I guess there is something wrong with my Exchange Server 2003 so I have to wait to upgrade this to Exchange Server 2007. For the mean time, I need to use my iPhone to read and sen…
